The 2003 Fresno Pacific men's soccer team produced the greatest season in program history, finishing with a school-record 22-2 mark and capturing the GSAC championship with a perfect 10-0-0 conference record. The Sunbirds set an NAIA single-season record with 98 goals, averaging an extraordinary 4.1 goals per match, while also claiming the NAIA regional title and going undefeated against NAIA opponents during the regular season. Fresno Pacific advanced all the way to the NAIA national championship match, outscoring its tournament opponents 14-3 before falling 1-0 to No. 2 Rio Grande in the final. The team also delivered one of the most impressive victories in program history with a dominant 4-0 win over eventual NCAA Division II runners-up Chico State, which featured future MLS star and U.S. Men's National Team player Chris Wondolowski. The Sunbirds had five All-GSAC performers and three NAIA All-Americans on the legendary 2003 squad.
