Originally from Shen Yang, China, Ge Xin came to Fresno Pacific in 1997 and would completely redefine the middle blocker position. She earned first team NAIA All-American honors both seasons and as a senior was named GSAC Player of the Year after leading the conference in both kills per set and blocks per set. She led the Sunbirds to a 33-3 record in 1998 and an undefeated run through the GSAC to win the conference title. Her career mark of 4.7 kills per set ranks first all time at FPU.

While adjusting to a new culture and language, Xin made an immediate impact on the volleyball court. Just a month into her first season she recorded 27 kills in a match three different times in a three-week span. That year, while leading the Sunbirds to a 31-4 record and the NAIA Region II championship, she led the GSAC in kills per set and had the conference's second-best attack percentage.

The next year, her final season, she welcomed a move to outside hitter to make sure the Sunbirds fielded the best group on the court at all times. What resulted was an offensive onslaught on GSAC opponents as she put together 31 matches with double-figure kills while leading the team to another region title, a 33-3 record and another trip to the NAIA quarterfinals.

She was named GSAC Player of the Year after leading the conference in both kills per set and blocks per set, while finishing second in attack percentage. She was the team's leader in kills, digs and blocks, and her 517 kills that season ranks ninth in FPU history (sideout scoring).

She finished her career with 958 kills, which ranks eighth all-time despite playing just two seasons. Her 4.7 kills per set ranks first all-time and her .371 attack percentage is eighth.
