Kelly Winter is no stranger to success at FPU, earning NAIA All-American honors five times as a volleyball player and track & field athlete. She was the GSAC player of the year as a senior and is the program's all-time assists leader with 5,139. She is the only player in FPU history to reach 5,000 assists (5,139, No. 1), 1,000 digs (1,177, No. 4), 450 kills (489), 250 blocks (271, No. 6) and 200 service aces (239, No. 2).
Winter became the head coach at FPU in 2011 before stepping down in 2014. She also spent five years as the lead assistant coach and was a major factor in helping the team win five GSAC and two national titles while compiling a record of 183-10 during that span.
She and her husband Ray have three children and live in Fresno.
