#2 Sunbirds Blast Biola 9-0

FRESNO, CA – No. 2 Fresno Pacific responded to its first loss of the season by shutting out Biola 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Haak Tennis Center.

 

The Sunbirds (12-1, 9-1 GSAC) have a half match lead for first place over Cal Baptist in the GSAC standings.

 

Fresno Pacific suffered its first loss this season against the Lancers on Thursday in Riverside.

 

Sunbird junior Alex Gonzalez remained perfect on the season in singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Daniel Westman at No. 3 singles.  Gonzalez' singles record stands at 10-0.  He is also 9-0 in doubles action with Vicente Joli.

 

The Sunbirds look to continue its winning ways at No. 6 Concordia on March 25th.  First serve is scheduled for 12:00pm.
