FRESNO, Calif. - After easily capturing all three doubles matches against 5th-ranked Cal Baptist, the Sunbird men's tennis team fended off a spirited comeback by the Lancers to win 7-2 at the Haak Tennis Center. Jose Hilla's 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles over Cal Baptist's Rekhi Little, put the Sunbirds ahead 4-0. Needing just one win in the final five singles matches, the Sunbirds battled in several three set matches before pulling away. Fabio Silva's three set win at No. 1 singles was the clincher.
Fresno Pacific (3-0, 1-0 GSAC) heads to southern California to face Biola (0-2, 0-1 GSAC) on Tuesday, February 17th.
