FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific University Athletics is proud to announce the launch of its Built to Soar fundraising campaign, a focused initiative to renovate and modernize the locker and team room facilities within the university's Special Events Center. This exciting project will directly benefit men's and women's basketball, volleyball, STUNT, and cheer – enhancing the spaces where Sunbird student-athletes prepare, connect, and thrive.
 
At Fresno Pacific University, we believe greatness isn't just forged in the gym – it's built behind the scenes. For the first time, our athletic teams have a space to call their own: a dedicated home where they can prepare, grow, and pursue excellence. Now, through the Built to Soar campaign, we have the opportunity to ensure that space matches the excellence of their talents.
 
The redesigned facilities will feature upgraded amenities and a renewed atmosphere that fosters unity, pride, and purpose. With custom lockers and revitalized team rooms, these enhanced spaces will empower Sunbirds with the resources, support, and inspiration they need to rise – on game day and every day. Because when the foundation is strong, our student-athletes are more than ready – they're truly built to soar.
 
"The Built to Soar campaign is about investing directly in the student-athlete experience," said Kyle Ferguson, FPU Director of Athletics. "Our locker and team rooms are more than just physical spaces – they're the heart of team culture. By upgrading these areas in the Special Events Center, we're creating environments that reflect the dedication and excellence of our student-athletes across our gym sports."
 
The lockers pursued through this campaign will serve as more than a place to store gear, they'll be where student-athletes gather, grow, and prepare together. Designed to foster fellowship, these team areas will help deepen our students' faith, sharpen their athletic skills, and support their academic journey in an environment built for excellence.
 
FPU Athletics is calling on alumni, donors, community members, and local businesses to come together in support of this transformative effort. The goal is to have every locker named in honor of a Sunbird supporter through the Legacy Sponsor level, building a legacy that will serve future generations of student-athletes.
