Box Score FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds dropped their final match of the year Monday morning to the Biola Eagles 5-2.
The Eagles jumped out to an early start taking the first doubles match on Court 1 6-2.
On Court 2, Ben Cronau and Sven Bangert evened the score securing a 6-3 victory.
The doubles point came down to Court 3, where Gregor Kliimask and Martin Ramirez were locked in a battle but ultimately fell 6-3 to give the Eagles the point.
The momentum continued for the Eagles into the singles as they took Courts 3, 4, and 6 in straight sets to clinch the match.
Despite the clinch play continued on the remaining courts.
The remaining three courts all came down to third set ten point tiebreakers.
On Court 1, Ravi Nelson dropped a back-and-forth battle 2-6, 6-4, ultimately falling in the tiebreaker 5-10.
Earning the first FPU point of the day, Brodie Sodersten kept his winning streak alive on Court 2.
Sodersten won the first set 6-3, dropped the second 4-6, and then grinned it out in the tiebreaker to win 10-7.
Similarly on Court 4, Emilio Seelbach also pulled through for the Sunbirds taking the first set 7-6, falling in the second 4-6, to bounce back and take the tiebreaker and the match 10-8.
With the regular season finished, the Sunbirds will gear up for their trip to Arizona for the PacWest Championships April 17-20th.
