Box Score IRVINE, Calif.- After coming out strong clinching the doubles point, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds failed to capitalize dropping the match 4-2 to the Concordia University Golden Eagles Saturday afternoon.
FPU came out hot taking the doubles with wins on Court 1 by
Emilio Seelbach and
Brodie Sodersten 6-4, followed by a win on Court 3 by
Gregor Kliimask and
Martin Ramirez 6-3.
The win by Ramirez and Kliimask marked the duos sixth straight doubles win making them 6-0 on the season.
The Sunbirds next point came from,
Brodie Sodersten on Court 3 provided the next point for the Sunbirds with a dominate straight-set win 6-1, 6-1.
The momentum swung quickly towards Golden Eagles as they secured four straight wins on Courts 1, 2, 4, and 6 to steal the match away 4-2.
Fresno Pacific will be back at the Haak Tennis Center all next week as they host the Fresno Pods with their first match Wednesday against Metro State Denver at 10:00am.
