ABOUT THE SUNBIRDS
• FPU heads into Tuesday's matchup coming off an 83-69 setback to Stanislaus State last week.
Jake Straughan led the Sunbirds with a career high 25 points on six threes, while freshman
Adrian Antunez added a career best 18 points, five assists and three steals.
• The Sunbirds are scoring 74.8 points per night while shooting an impressive .494 from the floor.

Adrian Antunez was recently named the PacWest Freshman of the Week (11/13). Antunez, a product of Clovis West High School, started both games for FPU at the West Region Crossover Classic. In his collegiate debut, Antunez scored 13 points and grabbed five steals against St. Martin's. He then added 10 points, four rebounds and two steals in a setback to Western Oregon. His total of seven steals led the PacWest for the first week of the season. His weekly averages totaled 11.5 points and 3.5 steals per game while playing 28 minutes per night.
PACWEST PRESEASON POLL
• The Sunbirds were picked to finish 11th in the 2017-18 Pacific West Conference standings according to a poll of the league's head coaches. California Baptist received 178 points and 10 first-place votes to top the poll. Dixie State was second with 169 points and two first-place votes. Following the two were Point Loma and Concordia in third and fourth, respectively. The Sea Lions garnered 161 points and two first-place votes, while the Eagles amassed 154 points. Rounding out the poll was Azusa Pacific (142 points), Chaminade (132), Hawai'i Pacific (121), Dominican (94), Biola (79), Hawai'i Hilo (72), FPU (63), Holy Names (43), Academy of Art (37) and Notre Dame de Namur (25).
ABOUT THE KEELHAULERS
• Cal Maritime, a member of the NAIA, enters at 7-3 overall. The Keelhaulers most recently fell to Oregon Institute of Technology, 94-73, on Nov. 25.
• Phil Randles leads Cal Maritime with a 16.7 points per game average and has scored in double-digits in nine of 10 games. The Keelhaulers are averaging 78.4 points per night.

• NDNU is struggling to find any rhythm offensively, as the Argos rank last in the PacWest in scoring offense (53.0 PPG). Chazz Wade has scored in double-figures in each game for NDNU and leads the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game.
