MANAGUA, Nicaragua - Recent Fresno Pacific graduate Isaac Peralta has inked his first professional basketball contract. The Orange County native has signed with Real Estelí of the Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB), the premier division of professional basketball in Nicaragua. Peralta will report to the team in August.

"Becoming a professional basketball player has always been a life long dream of mine and I'm so excited to start this next chapter of my career," Peralta said at the time of signing.

The only All-PacWest selection this past season who played his entire career at the same school, Peralta etched his name into the FPU record books three times during his four-year Sunbird career. He sits 10th all-time in both scoring and assists, and 2nd all-time in steals. Peralta led the PacWest in steals in 2023-24 and was an All-PacWest performer in 2025 and 2026. He started all but one game across his final three seasons and averaged double-digit scoring throughout his collegiate career. Notably, it was his work as the floor general his senior year - leading the team in assists and steals, second in scoring and rebounding - that catapulted the Sunbirds to a third place finish and PacWest Tournament appearance. 

"My four years at FPU were beyond special," Peralta reflected. "I'm so grateful for the all the lifelong connections I made and for my coaches and teammates that pushed me to become the best version of myself everyday! Fresno Pacific will always be home for me and a brotherhood that I'll have forever."

Real Estelí de Baloncesto is based in Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, and is the most successful club in Nicaraguan professional basketball - having been crowned LSB champions six times. Peralta's connection to Nicaragua began years ago thanks to his association with the Nicaraguan National Team for which he qualifies for due to his heritage. He has been called up to international duty on numerous occasions, most recently in Nicaragua's FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifying efforts in July.
