Following a very careful internal investigation, Fresno Pacific University has announced the suspension of the university's men's and women's tennis programs for the 2014-15 academic year due to multiple violations of NCAA legislation.

Current men's and women's tennis student-athletes will be given the opportunity to transfer immediately to other institutions.

"We take the responsibility of being an NCAA institution very seriously and we expect our programs and staff to operate with the highest level of integrity," said FPU President Dr. Pete Menjares. "The findings of this investigation are concerned with one program and are in no way indicative of the department as a whole. We remain committed to supporting our student-athletes and will honor the scholarships of the current members of our tennis teams who wish to complete their education at FPU."
