The men's tennis team used a dominant singles performance on its way to a 7-2 win over Hawaii Hilo on Wednesday.

The ninth-ranked Sunbirds quickly rolled through the top three singles matches in straight sets. Teddy Renard was impressive at No. 6 singles in his first collegiate match defeating Nicolas Franco in 6-0, 6-3 fashion.

In doubles the Sunbirds gutted out a trio of wins including an impressive performance at No. 3 doubles where Renard and Daniel Gianopulos earned a 9-7 win in their first doubles performance of the season. Kyle Rowe and Thomas Gely along with Michael Tymkiw and Leonardo Urquidi earned identical 8-4 wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.

Fresno Pacific will head south on Friday to take on No. 10 Azusa Pacific as they attempt to complete a season sweep of the Cougars.
