Fresno, Calif. – The Sunbirds notched their 10th win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Point Loma.
FPU picked up wins at five of the six matches including a win from
Thomas Gely at No. 1 singles; it was the freshman's first match in the No. 1 spot. Gely dropped the first set 5-7 to Brooks Baldinger before rallying with a 6-2 win and a 10-7 win in a super tiebreak.
Stefan Loop and
Brendan Aguilar both picked up straight-set wins at No. 6 and No. 4 singles.
In doubles the Sunbirds picked up two wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
Fresno Pacific will head to Las Vegas on Monday for the Las Vegas Spring Classic where they will take on a pair of national powerhouses in Hawaii Pacific and Armstrong Atlantic.
