A day after a draining last-second victory over Azusa Pacific, Fresno Pacific fell to #18 UC San Diego 16-5 and Ivy League opponent Brown 9-2 at UCSD on Saturday.

Nicolette Haley, Dani Mortimer and Maggie Murray each scored two goals on the day. The Sunbirds dug themselves early holes against both teams, falling behind 9-0 to UCSD before getting on the board.

The Sunbirds, now 5-23 on the season, travel to NCAA Division II Cal State San Bernardino next Saturday. Next month, FPU will be hosting the National Invitational, featuring top programs such as Concordia and Cal Baptist from April 20-21.
