BOX SCORE

FRESNO, CA. - The No. 15 ranked Sunbirds fell just short of upsetting No. 2 Concordia University, losing to the the Eagles 63-59 Saturday afternoon at FPU's Special Events Center.

Senior forward Todd Brown led Fresno Pacific in scoring with 14 points on the night, and snatched 6 rebounds.

Senior guards Jesse Childs and James Lewis Jr. also contributed with 12 points apiece, while fellow senior guard Adrian Hernandez put up 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers.

The Eagles led 29-20 at the half, and proved to be too much for the Sunbirds down the stretch.

With the loss, Fresno Pacific falls to 22-7 overall, and 12-7 in GSAC play.

The Sunbirds host The Master's on this coming Monday, March 1st at the Special Events Center, and a win combined with a Westmont loss to Azusa Pacific can secure a berth in the NAIA national tournament.
