SANTA CLARITA, CA. - The Sunbird men's basketball team defeated The Master's College 67-61 Tuesday evening in Santa Clarita to improve to 15-5 overall, and 5-5 in the GSAC.
Fresno Pacific led at the half 26-23 and was able to hold the Mustangs at bay down the stretch after a game that included six lead changes.
Senior guard
James Lewis Jr. led the way for FPU with 20 points and eight rebounds on the night.
Fellow senior guard
Jesse Childs chipped in 14 points as well to help the Sunbirds to the win.
Raphael Harris led The Master's College in scoring with 14 points in the contest, while teammate Dean Hadley had a solid performance with 13 points and six boards.
The Sunbirds will look to build off of this result when they host California Baptist this Saturday, January 30th in FPU's Special Events Center.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th with tip-off set for 4:30pm.
