ATHERTON, CA. - The FPU men's basketball team finished off its non-conference schedule going 10-0 with a final 69-67 win over Menlo College on Tuesday evening. The #7 ranked Sunbirds cut it close as they let a late 11-point lead dwindle, but held on for the victory.

Senior guard James Lewis Jr led the way for FPU with 22 points while senior forward Todd Brown pitched in 17 and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Senior forward/center Craig Ash also contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds while senior guard Alex Davenport put up 9 points and snagged 6 rebounds, respectively.

"Going 10-0 for our non-conference part of the schedule is a nice accomplishment, but we expected to be playing a whole lot better by this part of the season," said FPU assistant coach Chris Wright.

"We will have to be better in our next game when we go down to Cal Baptist where it's gonna be tough to play," Wright added.
