BILLINGS, MO. - The #7 ranked FPU men's basketball team defeated Rocky Mountain College 86-83 Thursday evening in Billings, Montana. The Sunbirds overcame a 13 point second half deficit to go on to edge the defending 2009 National Champions in a close one.

The Bears started the game on fire shooting 66% in the first half and took the lead 50-46 at the break.

To open the second period, the Sunbirds were able to step up the defensive pressure and limited Rocky Mountain's second half shooting percentage to just 36%.

Senior James Lewis Jr. went 6-8 from three-point distance and 7-7 from the line to lead Fresno Pacific with 29 points and six rebounds on the night.
