ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Fresno Pacific stunt team competed in the second day of the Warrior Classic, splitting the day with a loss to Cal Poly followed by a rallying win against Northwest Nazarene.
Although the Sunbirds fell to Cal Poly 2-19, the Sunbirds were able to score their points in last two quarters, specifically Jumps and Tumbling and Team Routine.
A rallying victory against Norwest Nazarene offset the initial loss from the day. The Sunbirds worked well as a team to obtain their 9-3 lead by halftime. The Nighthawks struggled to slow down the 'Birds immense progress as they split the point on several occasions during Jumps and Tumbling. The Blue and Orange won the last point of the third quarter, leading 13-6. In comparison to Day one of the tournament, Fresno Pacific collected an impressive nine points during the team routine to win the match 22-15.
The Sunbirds are 4-5 overall as they head into the final day of competition at the Warrior Classic.
