FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds had seven student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's and Men's Tennis Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have competed in four matches.
Honored on the men's side was
Brodie Sodersten,
Gregor Kliimask,
Sven Bangert, and
Martin Ramirez. The women's honorees included
Halle Faherty,
Malia Mitchell, and
Yume Ueoku.
Sodersten had a 3.762 GPA as a major in Criminology. Kliimask posted a 3.76 in Business Administration-Management. Bangert had a 3.65 GPA and Ramirez a 3.7 GPA with Business Administration and Software Engineering respectively.
Mitchell earned the highest GPA on the team with a 4.0 mark majoring in Kinesiology. Ueoku excelled both in the classroom and on the court with a All-PacWest Third team selection, while earning a 3.56 GPA in Business Administration-Software Development.
Rounding things out for the 'Birds was Faherty who had a 3.91 majoring in Chemistry -Biochemistry.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot which will be announced June 3rd for the women and June 4th for the men.
