FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's water polo team was hit with two losses on Sunday, falling to Cal Lutheran 15-11 in the opener before ending up on the wrong side of a 21-5 loss to nationally-ranked Fresno State.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
Game 1 

• Rosemary Chapman, Amy Zaninovich, Willow Brown and Katie Kisling each found the back of the net in the opening quarter for the Sunbirds.
• The Regals answered with six goals in the second quarter to take a 9-6 lead into the intermission.
• The third quarter saw Brown and Zaninovich each score their second goal of the day.
• FPU played even with CLU in the fourth quarter, with Dinis and Tatum Benson scoring the final two goals of the morning match. 

 
Game 2  

• The nationally-ranked Bulldogs were clicking early, striking for 10 goals before FPU was able to get on the board.
• FPU scored in each of the final three stanzas but was unable to close the gap. 

 
STATS FROM THE DAY:   

• Witt totaled four goals for the day, while Zaninovich finished with three scores and a pair of assists.
• Camryn Berra picked up 12 saves in the cage before giving way to freshman Bailee Poole for the final half of action.

 
BEYOND THE BOX:   

• Witt leads the team with 21 goals as one of four Sunbirds with at least ten on the season.
• Berra is averaging just under 10 saves per game.
