Fresno, Calif. – Fresno Pacific faced the La Verne Leopards on Tuesday night at the Sunnyside Aquatics Center, netting a season high 19 goals en route to their second victory in as many games. A balanced attack powered FPU as they received goals from eight different players throughout the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU and La Verne went back and forth in the first period until two quick goals from
Katie Kisling put the Sunbirds out front.

Savannah Mangrum kept the momentum swinging FPU's way with two goals of her own, including one to open the second period. FPU proceeded to outscore La Verne 5-2 in the second, bringing the halftime tally to 10-5.
• After an even third period, the 'Birds led by as many as seven in the fourth quarter, but the Leopards stuck around, pulling within three with two minutes left on the clock.
• ULV wouldn't get any closer; a score by
Sam Witt and another by
Jenna Collins put the seal on FPU's win. Final: 19-14.
STATS:
• Mangrum totaled a season high six assists in the match to go with three goals. She also picked up a steal.
• Four different Sunbirds recorded hat tricks: Witt (4), Collins, Mangrum and
Hannah Gish.
•
Gracie Bishop racked up eight saves in the cage for the Blue and Orange. She also dished out an assist, her fourth of the season.
• Guarina Garcia totaled six goals, three assists and two steals for the Leopards.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• With 19 goals, the Sunbirds posted their highest scoring total since they put up 21 against CalTech on Mar. 4, 2017.
• Kislings' two steals brought her season total to 32, the most on the team.
• FPU has swept the last four match ups with La Verne.
