DAVIS, Calif. –  The Fresno Pacific women's water polo closed out the Aggie Invite on Saturday at the Schaal Aquatics Center with two matches. FPU fell to #8 Pacific 20-6 and Santa Clara 11-5 in Davis.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Emma McBride scored to open the second period to make the score 5-2 against Pacific, but the Sunbirds headed to the intermission trailing 10-2. The Tigers held off FPU the rest of the way for the win.
• In the nightcap, FPU couldn't overcome a slow start against Santa Clara. Four second half goals weren't enough for the Sunbirds, as the Broncos held on for the win.
 
STATS:
• Katie Kisling led the Sunbirds with three goals in the setback to Pacific.
• Sam Witt scored twice for FPU against SCU, while Amy Zaninovich, Jenna Collins and Bridgette Garcia rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece. Gracie Bishop made five saves in the cage.
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Zaninovich and Collins scored their first career goals for the Blue and Orange.
