LA JOLLA, Calif. – Sam Witt's six goals powered Fresno Pacific over McKendree 15-7 on Saturday at the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships. The Sunbirds scored early and often in the victory and will now face Mercyhurst in the fifth-place game on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Witt wasted no time in starting the scoring, as the sophomore scored 15 seconds into the game to give FPU a lead they would never relinquish.
• The Sunbirds scored five times in the second period and led 9-4 at the intermission.
• FPU then held the Bearcats scoreless in the third and used six second-half goals to cruise to the win.
STATS:
• Witt led all scorers with her six goals, while
Emma McBride added two scores for FPU.

• Ponce added three assists, while Kisling chipped in with two helpers as well.
