LOS ANGELES – The Fresno Pacific women's water polo team finished off the LMU Invitational on Saturday, as the Sunbirds dropped a pair of games against ranked opponents. FPU fell to #17 Princeton, 17-2, before playing #22 Harvard tough and suffering a setback, 14-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One
• The Sunbirds struggled to get any offense going early against Princeton. The Tigers led 9-1 at halftime.

Game Two
• In the afternoon game, FPU couldn't overcome seven early goals from Harvard.
• The Sunbirds gained some momentum in the fourth period and scored the final four goals of the game, but the Crimson had built up too big of a lead in the end.

Game One

Hannah Holly led the Sunbirds their two goals in the game against Princeton, while
Madeline Frey totaled five saves in the cage.
• Princeton fired off 32 shots compared to FPU's 18. The Sunbirds were held to an 0-for-7 clip on powerplays.

Julia Ponce and
Savannah Mangrum each scored twice in the setback against Princeton, while Holly,
Sam Witt and
Katie Kisling scored one goal apiece to round out the scoring.
• FPU created more man-up opportunities and outshot HU 34-27 in the game.
