About the Sunbirds (10-2-1, 5-2-0 PacWest)
FPU saw a six-game win streak come a close last Thursday but bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Biola on Saturday. Anthony Velarde's corner kick found the head of Bruno Brumati for the game-winner in the final minute against the Eagles, giving Velarde the PacWest Conference record for career assists. As one of nine teams in the West Region with at least ten wins, the Sunbirds remain in the playoff hunt for the time being.

About the Silverswords (3-4-2, 2-3-2 PacWest)
Chaminade is coming off a three-game homestand that resulted in a 1-0 win over Biola, a 1-0 loss to Concordia, and a 1-1 tie with Point Loma. Keeper Michael Stafford leads the league in save percentage (.745) and goals against average (1.27), giving the Silverswords. Offensively, the 'Swords have taken less shots than any team in the league (84), and they have only scored multiple goals in a game once this season.

About the Penguins (5-7-2, 2-4-1 PacWest)
Saturday's game will have plenty of extra motivation for the Penguins, as they will host the Sunbirds on Senior Day while attempting to snap a three-game losing skid. Wilson Briggs has been a big part of the Dominican attack this fall, entering this week as one of just six players in the PacWest with at least 20 points.
