Four different players scored for Fresno Pacific as the Sunbirds defeated visiting Notre Dame de Namur 4-0 in PacWest action on Monday night. Alyssa Nakaguchi, Amber Rodriguez, Rachelle Schiller and Mariah Montoya each scored for the Sunbirds (7-5-1, 5-3-1 PacWest).

Montoya was in on all four goals, finishing with three assists. Nakaguchi added an assist as well.

The Sunbird defense recorded its sixth shutout of the season, not allowing the Argos to get off a shot on goal. FPU out-shot the Argos 28-8 (11-0 in shots on goal) in the win. NDNU dropped to 2-10 (2-5 PacWest) on the year.

"I'm proud of the way our team has come together," said head coach Rob Podeyn. "I'm more excited about the way we're playing and I'm even more excited about the things to come for this program."

The seven wins for FPU eclipses last year's season win total (6-8-2).

FPU is back in action at home this Saturday, hosting Cal Baptist at 5 pm.
