RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Kaeli Hanson provided the heroics as the Sunbirds defeated Occidental 6-5 on day two of the Lancer Invitational.

Keslie Harvey finished with double-digit saves in the win and secured a steal. Emily Marr and Candice Cobarrubias each scored twice, and Cobarrubias scored both of her goals in the fourth comeback that lifted the Sunbirds to victory.

FPU (2-7) struggled to find the back of the net in the first three quarters trailing 4-2 after 24 minutes of play. The offense came alive in the final period with four goals including Hanson's goal with one second remaining to seal the win.

The win matches the total for the Sunbirds from all of the 2013 season. It also marks the first time FPU has won on consecutive days since March 2-3 of 2012.

The Sunbirds fell in the day's opener to Pomona-Pitzer 10-6 to finish the Lancer Invitational 2-2.
