Belmont, Calif. - Fresno Pacific cruised to its sixth consecutive victory, sweeping Notre Dame de Namur on the road on Thursday night. FPU hit .382 as a team, including .600 in the final set to improve to 13-6, 7-3 in PacWest play.
The Argos (0-18, 0-11 PacWest) led 11-7 in the first set before FPU went on an 18-3 run to close it out, continuing that momentum over the next two sets to effectively dominate the rest of the match.
Rupia Inck had 12 kills and hit above .300 for the fourth consecutive match (.318).
Kathleen Anderson hit a sizzling .667 and finished with 11 kills.
Hannah Butler had 16 digs and
Bissie DenHartog dished out 22 assists with
Sarah McCann adding 17.
Toni Murphy finished with a season-high six service aces.
"We moved well, communicated well and did a great job of executing," said head coach
Kelly Winter. "This group is going into the upcoming Hawaii trip with a completely focused, determined mindset."
The Sunbirds now begin their three-match road trip in Hawaii, starting with Hawaii Hilo next Thursday.
