Live Stats & Video

The Sunbirds take on former GSAC rival California Baptist while celebrating the careers of seniors Kayla Clement and Callie Kloubec.

The last time the Lancers came to Fresno they were ranked #6 in the NAIA and in first place in the GSAC. FPU gave the Lancers all they could handle before falling 79-73. Later in the year, CBU defeated the Sunbirds 93-56 in the first round of the GSAC playoffs.

CBU comes in with a 13-3 PacWest record (19-5 overall) and is a just a half-game behind Grand Canyon for the PacWest title. FPU is 4-13 in the PacWest (4-20 overall) and has lost six straight. The Sunbirds dropped the first meeting between the teams this season 87-63.

The Sunbirds will look to avenge one of their lowest points of the season, a 93-75 loss to the Lancers in Riverside back in early December. Since that loss the Sunbirds have won 14 of their last 17 games and now stand at 13-4 in the PacWest (18-7 overall) with a shot at the conference title heading into the league's final weekend.

FPU has already wrapped up a first round home game in the NCCAA West Region Playoffs on March 5 or 6. Details won't be determined until after Saturday's games.

It will be senior night for four FPU players: Antonio Credit, Zach Kaul, Matt Samuels and Rickey Vick. The Sunbirds come in averaging more than 100 points per game over their last 11 games and have won 12 of their last 13 games. John Taylor leads the PacWest in scoring (25.6 ppg) and is coming off his second 40+ point game of the season in a 103-86 win over Notre Dame de Namur. In that game he set the FPU single-season school record for points scored (641), passing former Sunbird James Lewis.

CBU enters with a 14-10 record, 8-8 in PacWest play, and features one of the league's top centers in senior Luke Evans (12.3 ppg).

FPU is 11-0 at home this season.

*Halftime of the men's game will feature the finals of the 2012-13 Lexus Shootout as three participants will attempt to win a new Lexus IS 250.
