Game 2 Box Score
Wes Dorrell hit a two-run homer at the most opportune time and Michael Rivera was dominant out of the bullpen as Fresno Pacific came from behind to defeat CSU Monterey Bay 7-4 in game two of Saturday's doubleheader. The Sunbirds (5-4) took two out of three from the Otters (1-6) this weekend.
Dorrell crushed a two-run shot to right, the first FPU home run of the season, in the top of the 6th inning to tie the game at three after Tyler Pryor tripled. With Rivera holding down the Otters, striking out seven in three innings, FPU would take advantage in the 8th.
Alec Mehrten singled to load the bases after two runners got on with one out. David Hawes then came through with the big hit, a two-RBI double to center field. Trent Soares then drove in two more with a single to make it 7-3.
The Otters would tack on an unearned run in the ninth, but Rivera struck out the last two batters swinging to end it.
