FRESNO, Calif. - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced the 2026 Division II All-Region teams on Friday morning. Fresno Pacific baseball secured two All-West Region honors, recognizing first baseman Titus Wheelock and shortstop Gabe Henderson.

Fresno Pacific baseball closed out their season with a third-place finish at the PacWest Championships. As a team, the Sunbirds went 33-26 overall and boasted a 27-17 record in PacWest play. Amongst their spectacular lineup, key starters Henderson and Wheelock escaped with NCBWA honors after their incredible season.

Wheelock's dynamic performance on the field and at the plate has not only shattered records, but has paved the way to national recognition, capturing the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week honor in his final week of play. The Riverbank-native's resume speaks volumes — First Team All-PacWest selection, three PacWest Team of the Week honors, and two NCBWA West Region honors. He closed out the season with a .357 batting average and a .648 slugging percentage, tallying 70 hits, 72 RBI, and 16 home runs.

Alongside Wheelock, senior shortstop Gabe Henderson, the reigning PacWest Co-Defensive Player of the Year, earned a spot on the honorable mention list. He was a valuable asset to the 'Birds defensive line, ranking first in conference in assists and stolen bases, third in hits, and sixth in RBIs.

Head Coach Oscar Hirschkorn and the rest of the FPU Baseball crew have plenty to look forward to as they transfer over to the CCAA conference. With fresh new faces and challenging opponents, the possibilities are endless for this dynamic program!
