Prior to FPU- Played three seasons of baseball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, playing catcher and first base....a two-time All-Big West selection and NCAA Freshman All-American....Hit over .300 in every season, batting .313 as a junior....totaled 16 home runs and 47 doubles while at Cal Poly....Prepped at Clovis High School, playing three years of varsity baseball for coach James Patrick....Led the Cougars to a 25-6 overall record and first-place league finish in 2006....hit .360 as a senior and earned team MVP, first-team all-league and second-team all-state honors....hit .320 as a junior and .436 as a sophomore....once went 5-for-5 with three homers in a game.

Personal- Born October 1, 1987....son of Mitch and Dena.....has four siblings: Codi, Kristin, Cassie and Keith....chose Fresno Pacific because of the baseball program and coaching staff....person he most admires is his mom....favorite food is sushi....favorite shows and movies include 8 seconds, Tombstone and Wild Justice....favorite book is Where the Red Fern Grows....enjoys listening to George Strait....a fan of the San Francisco Giants....person he would most like to meet is Ted Williams....favorite athlete is former FPU infielder Matt Souza....attends Celebration church....hobbies include fishing, shooting and golf....Wes is a Sociology major with plans to play professionally or become a fish & game warden.
