RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Fresno Pacific (1-6) had a tough weekend in their first road games of the season. The Sunbirds fell to California Baptist, Azusa, Claremont and CSU Northridge. Fresno Pacific lost 2-11, 6-11, 4-7 and 2-13, respectively.
“It was a tough weekend, but we learned where we need to improve,” remarked Head Coach

Marissa Nunes and
Brittney Guerrero led the Sunbirds with four goals apiece for the weekend. Nunez had two goals against Azusa while Guerrero had two against Claremont.
Nicolette Haley also had a two-goal game against Azusa for the Sunbirds.
Dani Mortimer had 20 saves on the weekend while the whole team struggled to shut down their opponents all weekend.
The Sunbirds will travel to Monterey for a doubleheader against Santa Clara and a rematch against CSU Monterey Bay. Their first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 6.
