Fresno, Cailf. – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team continued right where they left off the other night, pounding CSU Maritime 84-54. The Sunbirds relied on solid defending and shot an impressive 69.6% from the field during the second half to help them run away with their second win in a row.
 
FPU again started off strong to take a commanding 21 point lead half time lead, relying on intense defense to get an early cushion. 
 
James Lewis led the Sunbird's offensive effort scoring 26 points. #Todd Brown# also contributed with 16 points, while Kendall Holmes scored 11 points to add to the tally.
 
FPU's Craig Ash had 5 blocks, along with Kevin McCaughey, Jermaine Johnson, and Adam Kado who all had 3 steals contributing to the Sunbird's solid defensive effort.
 
“We were real pleased with our execution tonight, especially in the second half,” complimented FPU assistant coach Chris Wright. “It's definitely something positive that we can take and build upon.”
 
With the win, the Sunbirds improve to 2-0 and will be back in action Wednesday November 5th when they take on cross-town rival Fresno State in the SaveMart Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00PM.
