Sunbirds Leave Their Mark in USTFCCCA All-West Region List

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific track and field continued to earn recognition for its historic 2026 campaign as numerous Sunbirds were named to the USTFCCCA All-West Region Team ahead of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The Sunbird men collected honors across the board, showcasing the depth of one of the program's strongest squads in recent history. Among the reigning PacWest Champions, Shane Bagley and Julian Buchan represented Fresno Pacific in the pole vault, while Malachi Carrasco earned recognition in the high jump after a breakout season that saw him rise among the nation's best.

In the hurdles, Jonathan Tseko-Biffle earned All-Region honors in both the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles. Monte Moore picked up recognition in the 800m after rewriting the school record books throughout the spring.

The Sunbirds' sprint crew was heavily represented by senior Shemar Palmer, who earned All-Region honors in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100 relay after a dominant season on the track. Joining Palmer on the All-Region 4x100 relay team were Rome Johnson, Gus Remlinger, and Aamir Smith.

In the field events, Chavez Grey collected All-Region honors in both the shot put and discus, while Dejan Mileusnic and Tevž Podlipnik were recognized in the javelin. Micah Vossler rounded out the men's honorees in the long jump.

On the women's side, Fresno Pacific's sprint and hurdle groups continued to shine. Sophomore Cyan Haslip secured four All-Region selections in the 100m, 200m, 100m hurdles, and 4x100 relay after her all-time performance this season. Nydia Chance and Mikiyla Royal also earned sprint honors, with Royal adding recognition as part of the 4x100 relay team alongside Riley Allen and Haslip.

Kenahdi Haslip received All-Region honors in the 400m, while Avril Mendoza was recognized in the 400m hurdles after another nationally competitive season. Shaniya Randolph earned All-Region status in the 200m, and Clara Wagner represented the Sunbirds in the heptathlon.

The NCAA DII Track and Field Championships will be held May 21-23rd in Emporia, Kansas.
