FRESNO, Calif. - FPU Head Men's Basketball Coach
C.J. Haydock announced the signing of former all-time CIF Central Section scoring leader Logan Kilbert, who will join the Sunbirds this fall.
"Logan is an immense late addition for us," Haydock said. "He's a prolific scorer in a bunch of different crafty ways, shoots it at a very high level, and he's got an edge rooted in being underappreciated that we love. We believe he's going to impact winning for us throughout his career."
The 6'3 guard comes to the Sunbirds after a redshirt year at Division I Weber State. Prior to Weber, Kilbert had a prolific career at Sierra High School in Tollhouse. In his four seasons as a Chieftain (2020-2024) he put up a then-record 3334 points, surpassing the previous Central Section all-time scoring records held by Washington Union and UNLV great Tre'Von Willis and NBA champion DeShawn Stevenson.
"I chose FPU because I saw a program and coaching staff that believes in me and my potential both on the court and in life," Kilbert said.
Kilbert returns to the valley with 4 years of eligibility remaining, and with the intention of upholding the strong tradition of local Sunbirds with outstanding careers on the hardwood.
"I'm looking forward to developing my game to the highest level, finding ways to contribute right away, and building lasting relationships with my coaches and teammates," Kilbert concluded.
Kilbert's career in navy and orange will commence in the fall of 2025, and he joins a Sunbirds team that features 12 returners including their three leading scorers and led by All-Conference selection
Isaac Peralta. He joins previously announced freshman signees Loukas Jones and Abram Potts, along with transfers Amar Hot and Nick Davidson in a deep and talented class joining the 'Birds roster.
