INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- A historic season for sophomore
Rasmus Hanson came to a close Saturday as he wrapped up his appearance in the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving National Championships at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IU Indianapolis.
Hanson qualified for the championships in three events, the 50m free, the 200m free, and the 100m free. The competition kicked off Wednesday with the 50m free, where Hanson recorded a 25th place finish in the preliminaries, coming in with a time of 20.11, unable to qualify for the finals. Hanson continued on Thursday with the 200m free, taking 17th, with 1:36.32, falling just one place short of qualifying for the consolation finals. Finishing off the championships on Saturday, Hanson swam in the 100m free, where he again fell short of making the finals, taking 23rd with a 43.95.
