Hanson Earns PCSC Male Athlete of the Year

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - This week the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference (PCSC) announced its 2024-2025 Post-Season Award winners, recognizing the exceptional achievements of the conference's top athletes and coaching staffs, with Rasmus Hanson taking home top honors, Male Athlete of the Year.

Hanson kicked off the season with a big splash at the La Verne Invitational, where he set three personal bests and NCAA D2 qualifying times in the 50, 100, and 200 free. In the 50 free, Hanson took the top spot with a time of 19.71, a new Fresno Pacific school record. Hanson followed that performance with another first-place finish in the 100 free, coming in at 43.86. Another school record fell for Hanson in the 200 free as he finished with his third first-place finish of the day at 1:36.14.

Hanson continued his dominance at the 2025 PCSC Swim and Dive Championships, earning a first-place finish in the 50, 100, and 200 free and adding a second-place finish in the 200 fly. The sophomore qualified for three events at the NCAA DII Championships, the 50, 100, and 200 free, where he finished 25th, 23rd, and 17th, respectively.

The award marks the third straight year Fresno Pacific has taken home Male Athlete of the Year, with Jan Bialecki earning the award in 2023-24 and 2022-23.  Hanson will continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Ohio State.
