FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds had eight student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have competed in four competitions or finish top eight at the conference meet.
Honored on the men's side was
Anton Svensson,
Rasmus Hanson,
Neill Mauss, and
Nico Barna. The women's honorees included
Jillian Lambert,
Charlotte Wilbers,
Mia Buller, and
Cara Moehle.
Svensson had a 4.0 GPA as a major in Business Administration. Hanson posted a 3.64 in Business Administration . In the pool, Hanson had a historic season, qualifying for the NCAA DII National Championships in the 50m free, the 200m free, and the 100m free. Mauss had a 4.0 GPA and Barna a 3.96 GPA with both studying Business Administration- Management.
Lambert earned the highest GPA on the team with a 4.0 mark majoring in Studio Art. Wilbers excelled both in the classroom and in the pool, earning a 3.83 GPA in Biology while finishing sixth in the 200 free at the PCSC Championships, the highest woman finisher for the 'Birds.
Buller had a 3.63 GPA in Pre-Health Sciences-Health Care, while Moehle earned a a 3.67 GPA as a Kinesiology major.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot which will be announced Aprill 22nd for the women and April 23rd for the men.
