RESULTS
AZUSA, Calif.- With the NCAA Division II Championships looming in a few weeks, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds proved they were primed for the event with a school record and a number of personal bests at the Franson Last Chance Meet held by Azusa Pacific.

Ariana Vera set the school record in the 400 m and ranks fifth in the country with a time of 53.55. The mark breaks the record set last spring by both Danae Manibog and teammate
Madison Flores who were both at the event.

Senior
Zara Anthony set a PR in the 100m during the prelims at 11.67, taking 2
nd in Fresno Pacific history.

Jake Resendez also moved into 2
nd All-Time in the FPU record books in the 5k, bettering his time by 24 seconds with a total time of 14:13.28.

Rodney Chemalmal also PR'd in the event and is now 6
th all-time for the Sunbirds.

Bo Olsen also locked down 2
nd in the 800, improving his personal best to 1:50.73.

Kalobe Jimenez climbed to 18
th in the country in the 110m hurdles with a personal best 14.02 and
Cullin Bates climbed up the national leaderboard with his best time of 14.18.

Fresno Pacific awaits the official announcement of National qualifies on May 15
th, with the Track and Field Championships to be held in Pueblo, Colorado in two weeks.
