'Birds Throwers Deliver Final Tune Up Before PacWest Meet

RESULTS

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.
- The final tune-up before the conference championship for Fresno Pacific track and field saw a strong showing in the throws at the Mustang Invitational at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Friday afternoon.
 
Jesse Franco's best throw of the season in the discus took 5th place at the event with a mark of 43.09m.
 
Sophomore Elizabeth Naranjo's PR in the hammer showed solid improvement with a throw of 40.34m.
 
Hope Erwin delivered a strong showing and took second in the shot put with a 12.78 mark, narrowly missing first place by a centimeter.
 
Erwin also placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 40.63m.
 
Freshman Forrest Gray's first showing in the javelin produced a 47.30 m throw.
 
Fresno Pacific will head to Azusa Pacific on the 28th and 29th for the two day PacWest Championships.
