FRESNO, Calif.- The theme of better their already stellar standing continued as the Fresno Pacific track and field team added top conference marks while bettering their already legendary status in the FPU record books at the final day of the West Coast Relays held at Veterans Memorial Stadium Friday.

Hope Erwin's discus mark registers as the best in the PacWest, landing at 42.66 meters and was the best mark among NCAA DII opponents in Fresno on Friday.

On the track, the 4x100 squad delivered the 2
nd fastest time in Fresno Pacific history as
Madison Flores,
Zara Anthony,
Brianna Green and Arianna Vera posted a time of 45.59 to make for a very fast Friday.

Flores finished 2
nd in the 400 and 3
rd in the 200. Flores 54.05 in the 400 is a season best and puts her 5
th in NCAA DII while she was just off her pace in the 200 from last week's season best performance which has her 7
th in that event.

Those numbers led a fast group of sprinters in the 200 with Anthony delivering a qualifying time of 24.34, her best time of the season and 7
th all-time in FPU history.

Green and Vera also had top ten finishes at the event.
Â
Green moves up to 6th in the 400 with a time of 55.47.
Â
The Sunbirds had equally impressive times on the men's side with
Garrett Fox and
Mark Smith delivering top ten finishes in the 200.
Â
Fox's time of 21.28 is the fastest in the PacWest this season and lands him 2
nd all-time in Fresno Pacific history.
Â
Smith posted a time of 21.64 to crack the top ten list at #8 in Fresno Pacific history.
Â
The 4 x 100 relay was strong on the men's side as well with Smith, Fox,
Isaac Davis and
Cullin Bates combining for the 2
nd best time in FPU history and their best time of the season at 40.98.

Bo Olsen improved his time in the 1500, delivering the 6
th best performance all-time in school history.
Â
The Sunbirds also saw PR's from
Tamar Archie in the 110 m hurdles (14.85), Rodney Chemalmal in the 5k (14:41) and
Bryan Trujillo in the 800m (1:56.65).
Â
Archie and Chemalmal both land on the top-ten in school history for their events.
