LA MIRADA, Calif. - Despite multiple first place finishes for both the men and the women, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds fell to the Biola Eagles in the first PCSC meet of the seaon Saturday afternoon at the Lansing Pool complex.
The 200-yard medley relay team of
Nelson Maier,
Ezekiel Cardona,
Jan Bialecki, and
Konstantin Ilijic delievered the Sunbirds their first win of the day.
On the women's side,
Charlotte Wilbers in the 200-yard freestyle and
Camilla Alduenda in the 100 yard backstroke secured two first place finishes.
Rasmus Hanson and Cardona also recorded wins in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke.
Biaclecko secured a trio of wins in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, and the 100-yard butterfly.
Additional first place finishes from
Botond Navratil in the 200-yard breaststroke and a second win for Hanson in the 500-yard freestyle rounded out the day for the Sunbirds.
The meet ended with the men's team falling by only 26, 130-116 while the women's team lost 189-48.
Fresno Pacific will head home for much needed rest before they head across town for a meet against the Fresno State Bulldogs Friday, November 3rd at 4pm.
