SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University track and field programs returned to action at the state's capital at the Hornet Open hosted by Sacramento State as Gianna Dickson lowered her school record in the 100-meter hurdles, while Cullin Bates set a season's best in the 110-meter hurdles. 

MEN'S TOP FINISHERS

• Bo Olsen ran a 1:53.12 In the 800-meter run, a time that lands him 7th all-time in FPU history.
• Bates blazed the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.62, good enough for third place. 
• Bates and Olsen joined Zavian Cook and Stewart Fernandez for a 3:19.17 for a second place in the 4x400 relay.
• Adrian Hodges leaped to a mark of  23'0.75" in the long jump landed him in third place.
• Hodges owned the triple jump with a mark of 47'9.75", good enough for a season's best.
• Isaac Davis matched a season's best with a 47'7" for a second in the event in the triple jump.
• Moe Bradley won the shot put with a mark of 53'7". 

WOMEN'S TOP FINISHERS

• Kyla Richardson earned an NCAA provisional in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 11.65 for a first-place finish. 
• Richardson won the 200-meter finals at 24.09, good enough for the top spot in the race.
• Danae Manibog Gatewood earned an NCAA provisional in the 400-meters with a time of 55.69, while teammate Chloe Sharp followed closely at 56.46.
• Gianna Dickson took third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.3. 
• Manibog Gatewood, Richardson, Sharp, and Madison Flores won the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 46.13 that earned an NCAA Provisional.
• Richardson, Sharp, Flores, and Manibog Gatewood earned an NCAA Provisional and a first-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay at 3:46.88.
• Kristi Yorke won the pole vault with a mark of 11'11.75".

UP NEXT:

• The Sunbirds take part in the Texas Relays or the Cal Poly Invite next weekend, before returning to Fresno for the West Coast Relays on April 1-2, hosted by Fresno State.
