LOS ANGELES. – Distance runners took center stage on Saturday at the Occidental Invite, as
Bryan Banuelos set a new school record in the 5K with a time of 14:09.17, while
Alexa Queenan took 25 seconds off her personal best in the 5k.
QUOTABLE
"Bryan's record run today was earned in the fall and winter months, and he carried his nearly perfect preparation into this track season. Great things happen when consistency, sacrifice, and a big belief in what's possible all come together. His ceiling is still unknown. It's certainly not the last time he will break down barriers as a Sunbird." – head coach
Ray Winter.
