AZUSA, Calif. – Despite a fast start and a near double-double from
Rachel Berry, the Sunbirds fell 93-68 to Azusa Pacific on Saturday in their second game of league play.
QUOTABLE
"Azusa is one of the best teams in the region, and when you catch them on a night that they shoot the ball as well as they did today, they're going to be a handful for anybody. I thought we competed for stretches, especially on the glass. Our young players are coming along, and our scorers and playmakers are not losing any confidence after this weekend. We have every piece we need for the puzzle we want to create. We unflinchingly and enthusiastically approach this next week of practice and our next game. Our approach will not waver, as we are steadfast in what we know we are, and in the pursuit of what we know we will be." – head coach
Tim Beauregard
