Tim Beauregard

Tim Beauregard has been the head women’s basketball coach at Fresno Pacific University since May 2016. An FPU alumnus, Beauregard previously served as the lead assistant coach on the 2010 national championship team at Azusa Pacific and became the eighth head coach in Sunbirds program history.

In his nine seasons as head coach, Beauregard has led the Sunbirds to several historical milestones, including the largest single-season turnaround in program history (2017-18) and their first-ever appearance in the NCAA postseason in 2018. Under his leadership, the team has experienced remarkable growth, setting new program benchmarks. In 2018-19, Beauregard’s team recorded its best season in the NCAA era, finishing 19-10, a record that was surpassed in 2023-24 with a 21-9 finish, marking the Sunbirds' best performance to date during his tenure.

Over his tenure, Beauregard’s teams have earned eight All-PacWest selections and 28 academic honors. The team has also been recognized for its ongoing community impact, winning the PacWest Community Service Award for contributing over 400 hours of service to the Fresno area in 2017. Additionally, the women's basketball team has earned FPU Athletics' Community Engagement & Service Award for nine consecutive years, reflecting the Sunbirds’ dedication to service and leadership beyond the court. Beauregard’s commitment to both athletics and community has been a hallmark of his leadership.

Beauregard first joined FPU as an assistant coach from 2005-2010, where he contributed to all aspects of the program, including recruiting and player development. After his time at FPU, Beauregard served as the lead assistant coach at Azusa Pacific University from 2010-2012, where he helped guide the Cougars to the 2011 NAIA national championship and a national final four finish in 2012. He also gained experience as an assistant coach at the University of the Cumberlands (KY), a nationally ranked program, before returning to the Central Valley to coach.

A highly respected figure in the women’s basketball community, Beauregard has been a camp director for NBC Camps since 2005. He has led over 50 overnight camps and clinics across the U.S. and Canada, blending basketball training with psychological and spiritual development to instill integrity, confidence, and resilience in athletes.

Beauregard
 earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from FPU (2010) and a master’s degree in leadership development from Azusa Pacific University (2012). He has also served as an adjunct professor in FPU’s Degree Completion program, teaching organizational leadership.

Outside of basketballBeauregard is deeply committed to his family. He and his wife, Paloma, are parents to their daughter, Nayeli. Tim believes in the power of sports to develop character and transform lives, and he strives to pass this value along to his players both on and off the court.
