FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University women's basketball team traveled across town to the Save Mart Center to take on Fresno State in an exhibition on Friday evening.
Rachel Berry was a rebound away from a double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Sunbirds dropped their final exhibition of the season 83-53 to the Bulldogs.
QUOTABLE
"Tonight was a blast. We let their zone take away a bit of our aggressiveness in stretches but we also got a lot of shots that we wanted, and they didn't fall. We had another chance to play a lot of freshman and redshirt freshmen and we are thrilled about their growth this early on. We are excited about where we are. We have a clear identity, our team is together, and we are close to being fully healthy. Our team is fired up to get to season and continue the growth." – head coach
Tim Beauregard.
