FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University volleyball team celebrated the careers of the Chantel Montayre, Lauren Ornbaun and Mikayla Kennedy prior to Saturday afternoon's match against Concordia. The Eagles spoiled the Sunbirds party 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-15).

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Sunbirds battled the Eagles to a 16-16 tie in the first set before the visitors pulled away late for a 25-21 set win.
• The second set belonged to CUI as they handled FPU 25-13.
• An early run in the third set led to a 25-15 set win and 3-0 match win for the Eagles.

STATS FROM THE GAME

• Makena Ogas led the Sunbirds with 11 kills on a sky-high .474 hitting percentage.
• Montayre led the team with 17 digs.
• Catie Speas handed out 27 assists over three sets.
